I built ThermoLab because I was paying £25 a session at a Leeds red light clinic and the maths stopped making sense. I wanted to bring the same 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared wavelengths into something you could use at home — not just a bulky panel, but a flexible body wrap you could strap around your back, waist or legs while relaxing on the sofa. Where can I use it?

Anywhere on the body. Most common use cases: lower back, abdomen, knees, shoulders, thighs, hamstrings and elbows. The 24×12 panel wraps around the torso (up to approximately 38-inch waist) or secures via the adjustable strap on smaller joints.

How often should I use it?

10–20 minutes per area, 3–5 times a week. Bare skin contact is recommended. Follow the supplied user manual for session duration and frequency. Individual experiences and results vary.

Is it safe for period pain and post-natal use?

If you're considering the belt for menstrual discomfort or after childbirth, consult your GP or healthcare professional before use. Do not use it over a healing surgical site without medical clearance.

If you're pregnant or have an underlying medical condition, seek medical advice before using the device.

Does it have a battery or do I plug it in?

The belt plugs into a standard UK 3-pin socket. The controller is built into the power cable — no separate remote and no battery to charge.

Just plug in, press start and relax. The timer automatically switches the device off when the session ends.

Can I wear it over clothing?

For best results, bare skin contact is recommended. Clothing can block or reduce the amount of red and near-infrared light reaching your skin.
